Calcaneus Etna Rosso “Arcuria”

90% Nerello Mascalese, 10% Nerello Cappuccio, grown in the single-vineyard “Contrada” of Arcuria, on the northern side of Mt Etna at an altitude around 650m above sea level. Soils are a mix of lava and sand. Fermentation occurs under temperature control in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged in 20hL barrels for 12 months, followed by a minimum of 4 months in bottle prior to release.
