Venica Friulano Cime

  • Varietals: 100% Friulano

  • Vineyards: The soils of the Collio region, known as “Ponka”, are composed of marl and sandstone dating back to the Eocene period. These stratifications that are also partly rocky are easily broken down by the weather pattern, that creates coarse elements that initially result in a granular soil and later in a very fine one.

  • Winemaking: The Venico Friulano DOC Collio is harvested and destemmed at the end of August, followed by a cold maceration under CO2 lasting 12-14 hours. The must is then fermented and matured on its fine lees over 6 months in stainless steel tanks. The wine is bottled at the full moons between the end of March and May.
